VENDLET V5 is awarded "The Most Interesting Product on The Exhibition Floor" by the conference delegates at a large conference in London.
The director of Vendlet ApS, Peter Maindal, was very happy and proud as he returned home in February from the "Moving & Handling People" conference in London. The new VENDLET V5 was awarded "The Most Interesting Product on The Exhibition Floor" by the conference delegates.
The Health sector in UK is starting to realise the potential in the Dansih repositioning system VENDLET. The system has been distributed in the UK since the middle of 2011, but now the product is beginning to penetrate the market.
The VENDLET-system is used for handling bedridden patients who require intensive care. By simply pressing a button the patient can be turned, moved to the edge of the bed or repositioned up in the bed. This avoids heavy lifting, pushing and pulling for the caregiver while the patient experiences calm and gentle handling.
In addition the VENDLET-system offers a significant time saving.
A convincing result
"Moving & Handling People" in London is one of the UK's most important conferences for those working with transferring and positioning patients.
This prize is therefore very important for Felgains, the distributor of the Danish product in the UK. Project Manager Sam Webber from Felgains has believed in the great potential of VENDLET since day one. "We decided to concentrate on the VENDLET-system exclusively for Moving & Handling People this year. And that has been the correct decision. There has been a great, great interest in the product, and we have had over 200 participants throughout our workshops. It's simply amazing", says a happy and enthusiastic Sam Webber. This is supported by the result at the conference where the VENDLET-system won with a near three quarter majority.
For physiotherapist and director Peter Maindal, the award is a huge recognition for the VENDLET-system. "We experienced an incredible amount of interest in VENDLET during the entire conference. The participants were especially impressed with how simple the product is, and how easy it is to use", Peter Maindal says, and continues, "In Britain there is a lot of focus on improving the working environment in the health sector. At the same time the British are very aware when it comes to patient dignity and economical considerations. I think that is the reason why the British are so excited about VENDLET".
The prize highlights VENDLET's enormous potential in the UK, as well as the rest of the world. "A prize like this could help us open further doors in the future," says Peter Maindal, and looking forward he expects significant growth in export.
