This set contains three positioning cushions that can be combined to create comfortable patient positioning and improve work health and safety.

Positioning for Intimate Hygiene

By combining the cushions LEJRELET Pad High and Wedge, you can create a stable side-lying position with plenty of room for performing intimate hygiene on clients who are unable to do so themselves. Place one leg on top of Pad High and place Wedge in front of the chest for the client to lean into for a slightly forward-tilting lateral position. With this position, the upper body falls comfortably forwards into the Wedge while the leg is lifted so that the hip joint becomes loose. This position is both comfortable and makes sure that the healthcare staff has easy accessibility and visibility when performing intimate hygiene. If the client has long lower legs, a Pad Low can be rolled up and positioned below the foot to ensure that the foot doesn't dangle. 

It also ensures their work health and safety, as they do not have to stabilize the patient while washing.

30° position

This support cushion set can also be used to create a 30° position by placing Wedge on the flat side at the client’s back and gently letting the client fall backwards while placing their leg on top of Pad High. In this position, the sacrum and coccyx are completely exposed, and it can therefore be used to relieve pressure on these high-risk areas.

Individual Bend at the Knees

Using Wedge and Pad High, it is possible to create a knee-break exactly where the client’s knees are, by placing wedge with the flat inwards and the lower legs on tip of Pad High and relieve the legs, heels, and lower back.

The set is usable for

• Stabil side-lying position e.g. when performing intimate hygiene or other treatments performed in the bed
• Relieving of the heels and legs
• 30° positions 

The cover on all the cushions is slip-resistant, which means that the positions will remain in place for as long as needed. This is particularly useful when performing treatments or relieving pressure ulcers.

LEJRELET cushions can be wiped clean with water and disinfectant liquids or poured over with boiling water. We recommend that the pillows are not machine washed, as water can seep through the seams, after which the foam takes a long time to dry. The cover cannot be removed, and we recommend that no other cover be placed on the outside of the pillows, as this may reduce the effects of the cushions.
